Addplate™ and NiPlate™ 201

A CORROSION RESISTANT, NON-MAGNETIC, LEAD AND CADMIUM FREE, HIGH PHOSPHOROUS ELECTROLESS NICKEL PLATING PROCESS

The 201 system is an economical, corrosion resistant, lead and cadmium free, high phosphorous electroless nickel process designed to deposit a uniform, nickel-phosphorous alloy onto a great variety of metals, alloys, and non-conductors.

The 200 system is available in two packaging options to best meet your needs. The NiPLATE™ option provides the greatest convenience to the user, while the ADDPLATE™ option provides the greatest economy for shipping and use. Both options produce the same properties and quality.

  • The NiPLATE™ 201 option is supplied in three liquid concentrates: NiPLATE™ 201 A and 201 B are used for make-up, and NiPLATE™ 201 A and 201 C are used for replenishment.
  • The ADDPLATE™ 201 option is supplied in two liquid concentrates: ADDPLATE™ 201 M is used for bath make up with standard nickel sulfate and sodium hypophosphite commodities, and ADDPLATE™ 201 R is used for replenishment of the bath with the same standard nickel sulfate and sodium hypophosphite commodities.

Some advantages of the 201 system are:

  • Corrosion resistance in acid environments
  • Neutral salt spray resistance of 1000 hours
  • A semi-bright deposit that will pass the nitric acid test
  • A pit free deposit of 5 mils or more
  • Excellent stability and bath life
  • Compressive stressed deposit
  • Non-magnetic properties
  • No lead or cadmium

The 201 system electroless nickel processes meet or exceed MIL-C-26074D and AMS 2404C.
