Addplate™ and NiPlate™ 121
AN ECONOMICAL, BRIGHT, LEAD AND CADMIUM FREE, MEDIUM PHOSPHOROUS, ELECTROLESS NICKEL PLATING PROCESS
The 121 system is an economical, bright, lead and cadmium free, electroless nickel process designed to deposit a uniform, nickel-phosphorous alloy onto a great variety of metals, alloys, and non-conductors.
The 121 system is available in two packaging options to best meet your needs. The NiPLATE™ option provides the greatest convenience to the user, while the ADDPLATE™ option provides the greatest economy for shipping and use. Both options produce the same properties and quality.
- The NiPLATE™ 121 option is supplied in three liquid concentrates: NiPLATE™ 121 A and 121 B are used for make-up, and NiPLATE™ 121 A and 121 C are used for replenishment.
- The ADDPLATE™ 121 option is supplied in two liquid concentrates: ADDPLATE™ 121 M is used for bath make up with standard nickel sulfate and sodium hypophosphite commodities, and ADDPLATE™ 121 R is used for replenishment of the bath with the same standard nickel sulfate and sodium hypophosphite commodities.
Some advantages of the 121 system are: low cost, bright deposit, no lead and cadmium, ease of use, improved corrosion resistance, ammonia free make-up, excellent stability, long bath life,
and consistent plating rate. The 121 system electroless nickel processes meet or exceed MIL-C-26074D and AMS 2404C.
