Surface Technology, Inc. is an innovative leader in the metal finishing industry. Since 1973, STI has been granted over ninety US patents, as well as numerous foreign patents. Under these patents and extensive know-how, STI has established an extensive network of licensees worldwide, including IBM, Hitachi, Schering, Enthone-OMI, Fidelity Chemical Products Corp., MacDermid, Lea Ronal, Atotech, Rohm and Haas, Sirius Technology, and Allied Kelite. The Company has also been recognized by numerous industrial and governmental agencies for its accomplishments.

An intrinsic part of STI's corporate headquarters in Trenton, New Jersey is its state-of-the-art research and development laboratory. The creative capacity and the experience of the company's scientific team are available for customized contract research and development projects of any size or complexity. Historically, Surface Technology, Inc.'s primary expertise has been in electroless plating, electroless nickel, composite electroless nickel, plating on plastics, pretreatment, deburring, and diffusion layers.
