GE and Surface Technology, Inc. Enter into Agreement

TRENTON, NJ, January 6, 2003 -- Surface Technology, Inc., a world-recognized leader in electroless nickel products, has entered into a Joint Technology and Market Development Agreement with GE Superabrasives, Inc., for the development of Composite Diamond Coating® Applications.

Composite Diamond Coating® is a patented proprietary process and composition of fine diamond particles in a hard electroless nickel matrix. This innovative coating features:

· Excellent hardness
· Enhanced thermal transfer
· Corrosion resistance
· Applicability to all metals/alloys
· Conformity to all shapes and sizes including non-line of sight applications
